Life Saving
Stories
Dear
Friend,
The New Year is a grand time for fresh beginnings
and second chances. At the
Ozaukee Humane Society, second chances happen every
day. We’re thrilled to report that Peach will
start out the New Year with a great new family.
When the little long-haired calico arrived at the
Ozaukee Humane Society with her three siblings,
she was dehydrated and very sick. It was early December
when the snow was falling fast and furiously. It’s
amazing that these little ones survived outdoors
in our harsh Wisconsin winter.
As soon as they arrived, all four kittens were given
a thorough exam to provide the individual care they
needed. The veterinary staff recognized immediately
that Peach was sick. She was given fluids to battle
her dehydration and medication to ease her terrible
cold.
It took a few weeks for her to come around, but
we never gave up on her. We were there for her everyday
providing the loving care she needed. It’s
only with the help of great, caring folks like you
that we are able to provide a level of care that
will allow animals the time, shelter, medicine and
medical expertise they need to heal and thrive.
It’s because of our generous contributors
that furry ones like Peach find homes every single
day. Please make a gift today to help us continue
to save the lives of animals.
Your gift will be put to use immediately. It will
help provide food, medicine and shelter for the animals
in our care right now and for the weeks and months
to come.
On behalf of the animals, thank you very much for
your commitment to creating a more humane community!
Together,we are sure to make a lasting difference.
