Rabbits and Children
Contrary
to myth, rabbits and small children may not be a
good mix. The natural exuberance, rambunctiousness
and decibel level of even the gentlest toddler can
be extremely stressful to
rabbits. Children want a companion they can hold
and cuddle, but rabbits need to spend most of the
time on the ground. Picking up a rabbit the wrong
way or dropping them can seriously injure the rabbit.
Quiet mature children (usually ten or older) and
adults make the best human companions for rabbits.
