Share the World

Share the world with me and you
But don’t forget a dog or two. We are not the only ones so
Don’t only share it with your sons. Share the world with me and you
But don’t forget a cat or two. We are called to love each other so
Love all animals like they’re your brother. Share the world with me and you
But don’t forget a fish or two. To people we are nice and kind
So keep all animals in your mind. Share the world with me and you
But don’t forget a bird or two. Befriend all God’s lovely creatures
And look at all their beautiful features. We are called to share the world with all!
Share the World
By Madeline Niedfeldt
6th Grade,
Lake Shore Middle School Share the world,
With animals, all kinds.
Share the world,
With creatures big and small.
Share the world,
With the dullest black bird to the most fiery red parrot, with them all.
Share the world,
With rabbits hopping, legs outstretched,
With brown dogs barking, tails wagging furiously,
With white mice squealing, running in circles,
With gray cats meowing, rolling around on sweet green grass.
With yellow birds, singing their song cheerfully,
Share the World.
Share the world with all of them, no matter their type.
Take them for walks.
Or go to a park.
Take a swim,
Or play with them.
Share the world with all of them.
Silky black puppies, sound asleep,
Snuggling striped kittens, close together,
Chirping birds, at an overflowing feeder, singing,
“Everyone! Share the world!” |
