A PICTURE'S WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS
Photography Contest

Do you think every picture tells a story? Do you have an eye for shape and color? Then try out our photography contest! Using the theme, "Take Time to Be Kind," students can take pictures of important or interesting animals in their lives and send them to the Ozaukee Humane Society. Winning entries will be on exhibit at the Weyenberg Library in Mequon during the month of May.

Please follow these guidelines when entering the photography contest:

  • Please print information with a permanent felt tip pen on the back of you photo. Do not write in ballpoint, as it will ruin the photograph.

  • The photos must be at least 4X6 in size (digital photos must be printed on photo paper) and should focus on the animal(s).

  • No Polaroid photographs, please.

  • Photos should contain no exotic pets or non-native animals (you may include domestic animals or wildlife native to the area).

  • Pictures of animals and people will be accepted, but photos must be taken by the participating student.

  • All animals must be depicted in a humane and dignified manner.
