Ozaukee Humane Society Appoints Interim Executive Director

Grafton, Wis. – Due to the passing of Executive Director Victoria Wellens, the board of directors governing the Wisconsin and Ozaukee Humane Societies has announced the appointment of Ellen Clark as interim executive director.

“We are so deeply saddened by Victoria’s passing, but we are confident that Ellen Clark will prove to be an exemplary leader. We are also fortunate to have a strong management team dedicated to upholding the highest standards of care and delivering lifesaving programs and services to the community,” said Tony Enea, board president.

Clark has served as the operations director at WHS for nearly nine years. Prior to coming at the shelter, she was an assistant director for eleven years at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Clark received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art History from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.
