OHS to hold annual benefit walk Sept. 10 at Rotary Park in Mequon

Does your dog or cat have a photogenic look and talent to match?

Pet owners can showcase their canines, felines and other people-friendly creatures during the 16th annual Walk for Animals, a fund-raiser to benefit the Ozaukee Humane Society.

The event will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 10, at Mequon Rotary Park, 4000 W. Highland Rd.

The activities will begin with walk registration and refreshments from 8 to 9:30 a.m. A blessing of the animals will be at 9:15 a.m., followed by the walk at 9:30 a.m. and a pet talent show, portraits, contests and drawings from 10:15 a.m. to noon.

Raffle tickets will be sold throughout the morning, with the winners announced at noon.

Proceeds will benefit animals at the Humane Society shelter, 2073 Hwy. W., in the Town of Grafton.
