Phantom

Real Phantom Looking for True Love
GRAFTON, Wis. – The Ozaukee
Humane Society has its very own version of Phantom
of the Opera. This feline, called Phantom for short,
arrived at the shelter as a severely injured stray.
In fact, he possessed an injury quite rare in companion
animals – a good portion of his left face
was missing, enough to see the raw jaw bone.
From what was left on Phantom’s face, he looked
so scared and alone. The fear in his eyes indicated
he had been in a serious trauma. He could have contracted
a bacterial infection in his face or, worse yet,
intentionally had a sharp object sliced through
the left side of his face. No one will ever know
what happened to poor little Phantom.
The feline was rushed to the Wisconsin Humane Society
for immediate evaluation. What was left of his injured
half of the face peeled right off, and Phantom received
several days of antibiotics. If this wasn’t
bad enough, the cat developed a urinary infection.
Thanks to the caring staff at the Ozaukee and Wisconsin
Humane Societies, Phantom is now recovering from
his traumatic experience. He will soon be available
for adoption and is looking for his true love who
will understand his unique situation.
For more information about Phantom, please call
the Ozaukee Humane Society at (262) 377-7580.
