MEDIA ADVISORY

Cedarburg Police responded to calls about odors coming from a home at N73 W6957 Walnut Street in the City of Cedarburg and found that the conditions in the home were deplorable.  Odor, feces, garbage and cat urine were apparent.  Police in conjunction with the Ozaukee Humane Society are removing the cats which are not in good health.    Police report that one cat had died in the basement of the home and the other cats were feeding off of that cat’s body.

The cats will be removed from the home on Walnut Street in Cedarburg at 1 p.m. this afternoon.  Media spokesperson, Beth Maresh will be on the scene to answer questions.

The cats will be taken to the Ozaukee Humane Society for care and observation.  During that period, Dr. Zeman, OHS Veterinarian, will determine what care they will need and if they will be healthy enough to rehome.
