Snowball's
Road to Recovery
GRAFTON,
Wis. – Driving down Highway 32 in Grafton,
Wis. a Good Samaritan made a shocking discovery.
A terrified kitten was darting between zooming cars
trying to make it to safety. The Good Samaritan
risked his own life by pulling over to the side
of the road, scooping up the shaken kitten and leading
her to the comfort of his car.
When
8-week-old Snowball was brought to the Ozaukee Humane
Society, staff could easily tell she was ill. In
fact, Snowball's ears and eyes were very infected.
We may never know why Snowball was wandering on
her own, but we know she is safe now.
One
look at Snowball and OHS veterinarian Randy Zeman
knew exactly what to do. He put Snowball on a treatment
plan so her eyes and ears would heal. Only time
will tell how soon Snowball's health will improve.
Despite
Snowball's horrific ordeal, she is beginning to
thrive at OHS. Her delicate eyes reassure you she
is a sweet and gentle kitten, while her soft white
hair makes anyone want to scoop Snowball up and
give her a great big hug. However, OHS staff is
eagerly waiting for the day she completely gets
through her medical issues and starts smiling again.
