Cat, Rabbit and Small Animal Socialization

Spend quality time with cats, rabbits and small animals! Volunteers use the socialization areas to allow the animals time for play, grooming, treats and additional enrichment opportunities. Volunteers also write brief notes about their animal observations to assist Adoption Counselors in making the perfect match. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old or 13 years old when accompanied by a parent. Participants must have the physical ability to transfer animals from kennels and use proper animal handling and disease prevention techniques. The cat and rabbit socialization programs require a six-month commitment of at least two hours per week.

If you have questions about the volunteer program, please email the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@ozaukeehumane.org.
