Animal Care Volunteers

They give the shelter its shine! Animal Care volunteers will be assisting Animal Care Technicians with various duties, including the following: general maintenance, feeding animals, cleaning, gardening and organizing donations of supplies. Animal Care volunteers provide much needed assistance to our Technicians, enabling them to dedicate additional care to other animals in need. The minimum age is 18 years old or 13 years old with a parent. Physical requirements include moderate lifting, bending, reaching and cleaning with various cleaning products. This opportunity requires a commitment of two hours per week for at least six months.
